3 festive decor looks you must follow this Diwali!

Diwali is just around the corner! While your calendar is full of Diwali parties to attend and host, we thought we would make it a little simpler for you to get a head start on how you can deck up your homes 🙂

We suggest you go subtle this season. The many shades of ivory in combination with soft yellow and subtle blue create the perfect milieu for the festive season. The glimmer and shine trickle in through discreet patterns in gold on the throw cushions. The cushions in Naaz have beautiful base fabrics, highlighted with hand embellishments. All the pearls and sequins set in a continuous pattern using adde ka kaam has brought out the best for this festive season.

Bringing together three looks that you can use for the upcoming festive season :

  1. Living Room Decor: Family get-togethers, friends catching up, the pre-Diwali season has always been about enjoying with your loved ones. Create that festive look by adding mood lighting, throw some decorative cushions, light up the candles. An aura of warmth and a certain glow needs to be persistent in your decor. Make sure the scent of fresh flowers are always cascading through.

2. Diwali Parties: We all host at least one Diwali party in the season (the one where an aunt wins all the stakes). Throw some lightweight dhurries that can be moved around. You can literally create a corner anywhere in the house with these and add the cushions for the comfort. Don’t forget, it’s always a good idea to keep a bowl to collect all the moolah in the middle 🙂

3. Puja Room: It’s a tradition where the house is freshly painted, the furniture is moved around so each and every nook and corner of the house is spic and span. We do the spadework so Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth and fortune, will grace clean and nicely decorated homes during this festive period. Hence, out with the old and in with the new is usually something we all practice. We decorate our homes for the atithis, so why not the puja room?
