36 Days of Type is a project that invites Designers, Illustrators and Graphic Artists to express their particular view on letters and numbers of our alphabet.
36 days of restless creativity, where participants are challenged to design a letter or number each day, resulting an outcome of the ability to represent the same symbol from many different perspectives. A project that aims too be a space for creation around typography and it’s endless possibilities.
We’re a print and surface design studio and wanted to explore the many techniques and styles using this project. To be a part of such a big scale global creative initiative is exciting and pushes one’s limit to explore the boundless prospects.
We didn’t manage to complete the full 36 days but we sure did manage the 26 days of type, here have a look.
We’ve played with product layouts, various types of embroideries like looping, french knots, applique´, couching, machine embroidery and layering. All these, comprises of what IDAM is and has explored over the years in the field of textile design.
